Carers Week 2006


Each year, Carers Week is celebrated throughout Australia to promote Carer issues and to acknowledge the contribution that Carers make to the Australian Community.


During Carers Week on October 20, the Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre is presenting a Fun Day for Carers.  So, if you are a family member, friend or neighbour caring for someone in the community who is frail aged, has dementia, a disability, a chronic health condition, a mental illness or requires palliative care, then come along to the:



Beerwah Community Hall,

Peachester Rd


Friday 20th October,

from 10 am to 2pm.


Some of the highlights are:


·        Art and Craft displays

·        Line dancing and belly dancing

·        free Massages

·        Free Sausage Sizzle for Carers

·        Free tea and coffee

·        Lucky door Prizes

·        games
