Fourth Annual Row for Cancer Includes Open Ocean
First time in row for cancer's history that the race moves to the open ocean.
New race course for cancer should not deter groups and individuals of all ages and corporations. The Health Foundation's Row for Cancer provides opportunity for a fun out of the office experience to build team work while help local families whom endure treatment for the disease.
Cancer impacts on everyone ... young, old and in between.
The Health Foundation's Row for Cancer gives every member of the family an opportunity to take part in helping local families enduring treatment for the disease.
The fourth annual Health Foundation Row for Cancer will include Old Woman Island.
One of the biggest and most loved events is the corporate outrigger race. Garland Waddington, last year's reining champions, are back again to compete against a new line-up of competing teams. Local teams such as Sunshine Coast Daily and Mix FM are returning for another exciting challenge this year.
Marketing Fundraising Coordinator Lisa Robbie said this year's event hopes to draw new and excited teams for the corporate outrigger race.
'It is a fantastic day to get active, socialise and take part in an awesome team building exercise.'
The Health Foundation Row for Cancer takes place on Saturday September 5 from 7:30am on the beautiful Maroochy River at Cotton Tree Park.
Proceeds from this year's event will help the Health Foundation fund the $3 Million Accommodation facility opened February this year. The Reed Charity House supported by Nambour hospital provides comfortable stay for patients and their families while receiving care from the hospital.
Deadline for registrations online at www.rowforcancer.org is Friday 29th August.
