Celebrating the coming of the New Year in style
Live Art Artists return to High Tide At The Harbour by Bump Nights.
Our last High Tide event saw Duca and Renae painting live directly onto The Floating Bridges and some willing punters. Our featured artist Nayha Wright Hooped to music, Renae started a spontaneous art deco photo shoot inspired by Jason's lamp and art market stall, Michelle Monsour and her gifted sons created a spontaneous live art kids corner and Duca was saved by a socially awkward conversation about the prostate by a conga line. Plus the most beautiful Jamvas to date 'an ode to Pollock' was jammed on by musicians, artists and punters all night. Good Times!
For January 8's High Tide we have invited Sunshine Coasts Sea Shepherd to be included in the 'free' Harbour Market stalls. Sea Shepherds mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species. Plus they have mad merch so bring some spending pennies and support this very worthy cause.
Artist Matt O'Callaghan, one of our featured artists at the Verrierdale Full Moon Dance live art exhibition is bringing along some of his beautiful art creations to display as well as showcasing his hula hoop making skills.
Michelle Monsour and her sons Sam and Alex return to create a space for live art kids. This event is very family friendly and children under 10 are free. So bring them along and so they too can enjoy a night of great live music and live art.
Renae and Duca will be manning/ladying the Jamvas. Cant wait to see what people will create to the musical styling's of Kingfisha and the Upsteppers.
Places are filling fast so if you would like to display your wares at the Harbours 'free' market stall (its just byo table and lights the rest is provided.) Or if you'd like to paint live, display some art work or bring a salsa dance troop, let us know by December 23.
Have a Very Merry Christmas and if we don't see you at the Woodford Folk Festival, look forward to seeing you all in the New Year!
