"Homegrown Festival is definitely an event young people and the community on the Sunshine Coast want to see return and have proven that by crowd funding the event" Amy Said.
The event will showcase bands between the ages of 12 and 25 years from Sunshine Coast and Brisbane regions, ranging from genres such as Indie-Rock, Post-Hardcore, Metal, Pop Punk. The line up includes local bands Take Us to Vegas, Hope in Hand, Countdown to Armageddon. The event will run two stages of acts from 10am to 5pm.
"Homegrown is a community event, that is free and SPA encourages people of all ages to attend and have a fun day out," Amy said. Amy said Homegrown is a festival that unites the Sunshine Coast community by bringing together young people, musicians, community organisations and local businesses.
