Meditation encompasses a variety of techniques that aim to develop mindfulness, tranquility and insight. It is an essential component of the Buddhist path to mental well-being and lasting happiness. In this practice weekend, we will reflect on the teachings from the previous 'How to Meditate' module of the Discovering Buddhism programme. We will review key principles, have group discussion, and be guided through a variety of meditations.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to set up your own regular meditation practice, how to deal with obstacles and to gain familiarity with different approaches to overcoming habitual patterns and cultivating positive mental states. All welcome! Although beneficial, you don't need to have attended the teaching weekend of this module.
