Teens are invited to take on the zombies inside a locked Sunshine Coast Council library in January as part of the Hunter library lockdown.

The lockdown is an annual role playing, clue hunt where teens aged 13 years and over are locked in the library for two hours to find clues and complete challenges which will pave their way to victory.

Each year the theme and storyline change. 2014 Hunter is the Zombie Apocalypse and teens are invited to dress in their best World War Z or battle outfits to participate.

Using various technologies, books, puzzles and physical challenges, teens must compete against the clock, and each other. Only one will be named the victor and be crowned Hunter 2014 to save the world from the zombie hordes.

Hunter will be held at the following library branches throughout January:

Maroochydore Library    Wednesday 8 January 7 to 9pm
Nambour Library    Monday 13 January 7 to 9pm
Caloundra Library    Wednesday 15 January 7 to 9pm
Maleny Library    Monday 20 January 7 to 9pm
Cooroy Library    Wednesday 22 January 7 to 9pm
