International Student Safety Assured on the Sunshine Coast
International Education is about to be showcased in the Sunshine Coast region. International Education Agents are about to learn about the quality and safety factors for students studying in the Sunshine Coast.
Increasing the number of international students choosing Sunshine Coast as their study destination is a priority project supported by local regional development agency, Sunshine Coast Enterprises. The agency is providing administrative and strategic support to an international education industry group. Under the name SunEd, the group has grown to now consisting of 30 industry members and has attracted funding from State and Local Governments.
Anne Jacobson, Chair of SunEd advises:
"Sunshine Coast has an excellent record of delivering quality education in a safe and supportive environment."
SunEd is keen to showcase the Sunshine Coast as a destination of choice for international students with its 'Clean, Green and Safe' message. Education Agents have been invited to participate in Sunshine Coast's inaugural International Education Agents Fair on Friday, 9 October 2009 at the Mooloolaba Surf Club. It is anticipated that Education Agents representing international students worldwide including Japan, France, New Caledonia, Korea, Brazil, China, Taiwan and India will attend. Agents will be introduced to the beautiful Sunshine Coast and invited to explore the region with a complimentary fully escorted bus tour.
Gerrie Carr-MacFie, CEO of Sunshine Coast Enterprises advises:
"The Sunshine Coast is looking forward to welcoming Education Agents to discover the worldclass quality education, services and businesses that are available in the region. We must not underestimate the value of the building ongoing and successful relationships with education agents. They provide a vital link in the international education market. According to Australia Education International, education providers receive up to 70% of student enrolments directly from education agents".
The program will include presentations by key industry leaders and stakeholders and cultural displays. Those interested in participating in the event should contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
