Italian display in the foyer of the library
• A red Fiat Bambino which has been driven around the world and is the smallest car to have been driven around the world (arriving approx 11 Feb). 
• Displays of beautiful Carnevale masks and Venetian jewellery (courtesy of Maurizio Fenu at the Jewellery Lounge). 
As well as all things Italian, promotion of Italian School Committee and library material on Italian theme.

What's on @ your library in February
Regular Events
Tuesday storytime for under 5's starts Feb 12th at 10am.
Stories, songs and craft for children under 5 years and their parents.

Wriggle, giggle read starts Thursday Feb 14th at 10am.
A short 20 minute session filled with finger- plays and little stories developed specially for children from 12 months to 3 years.

Babes in Arms starts Wednesday Feb 20th until March 12th at 10am.
A fun baby program designed to share songs and rhymes with new parents and their young babies. Session runs over four weeks, each session approx 30 mins.
Sessions are held in the children's area except for Wriggle giggle read which will be held in the Library meeting room. Contact Young People's Services at the Noosa Library on 5442 4411.

Battle Games@ Noosa Library for kids over 10 years. 11am to 2pm.
Every first & third Saturday of the month. Come along and you will find the armies of Warhammer - Skaven, Elves, Space marines or lizardmen strategically battle each other. BYO Armies and game books. Contact Young People's Services for more information on 5442 4411.

Word Wise - Conversation English Classes every Tuesday 3 to 4pm. Conversation workshops for English as a second language. Contact Lyn or Lorna at the Noosa Library on 5442 4411 for details.

Cultural Connection @ Noosa Library
Noosa Council Library has been successful in obtaining grant funding from Multicultural Affairs of Queensland to contribute to delivering a multicultural program in 2008.  Noosa Council Library will promote languages and cultural diversity in the Noosa region through a 12 month workshop program: Cultural Connection @ Noosa Library. The program will represent all continents and highlight a different culture on a significant date each month including Bastille Day to promote French culture, Carnivale to promote Italian culture etc.  The program will include workshops on food, dance, bi-lingual storytelling, language, conversation classes, music and art, as well as displays to promote each culture and multicultural services.

Wine and cheese author event
With Susan Parisi, acclaimed author of Blood of Dreams, published by Penguin.  Blood of dreams is an erotically charged story of obsession, betrayal and murder and is set in 18th century Venice in the time of Carnevale.
