Jambezi is a high energy 8 piece marimba band playing vibrant and joyous dance tunes from Zimbabwe, South Africa and Mozambique. It features 6 marimbas (wooden xylophones) originating in Zimbabwe and neighbouring countries, played by Fatima, Robin Clayfield, Jo Jensen, Steve Pead, Gizelle Lovasz, Adi Bail and Di Mills, with driving rhythms from Mark Paltridge (Sparky) on drum kit.
Twenty Sets is local music legend Linsey Pollak and Jessica Ainsworth on a technological exploration playing dance grooves on WX5 (computerised wind instrument) and SPD20 (an electronic tripped out drum kit), ranging from slow funk to fast Balkan bent rhythms.
Vaku plays passionate flavours of jazz, funk, reggae, folk and a hint of rock. Terri Delaney fronts the band with Ally Kuylaars on keys, Dan Sweeney on bass and Steve Leslie on drums.
