Member for Gympie, David Gibson MP is pleased to advise that the Queensland Justices Association (QJA) has scheduled a course for new Justices of the Peace (JP (Qual)) and Commissioners for Declarations (C.Dec) in Gympie in July.
“The QJA is a not-for-profit association supporting Queensland’s volunteer Justices of the Peace and with over 6,000 members across Queensland are the largest organisation supporting JPs in Australia ,” Mr Gibson said.
“The QJA is also the only not-for profit Registered Training Organisation delivering the accredited course for new JP (Qual) and C.Decs. They are extremely proud of the long heritage of services Queensland’s Honorary Justices and as a not-for-profit organisation a portion of the income from the training course is returned to the local QJA Branches to enable them to deliver JP services and support to the local community,” he said.
The JP (Qual) Course dates are Saturdays 12th, 19th and 26th July between 9.00am and 4.30pm. The venue is yet to be advised.
C.Dec training is for the first two days only.
The cost of the training for a JP (Qual) is $350 and for a C.Dec is $240.00.
