27 November 2006 News in brief Volunteers sought for Art Gallery
The Caloundra Regional Art Gallery is seeking community minded citizens who would like to donate a few hours of their time each month as a volunteer.
Caloundra City Mayor Don Aldous said the gallery uses a flexible volunteer system that allows volunteers to select times to suit their lifestyles.
Volunteers are invited to gallery functions, such as regular volunteer morning teas and exhibition openings. They also have the opportunity to increase their art appreciation by attending free artists floor talks and regular discounted visual art workshops, as well as meeting like-minded people as part of the Caloundra Regional Art Gallery community.
No experience is required as volunteers are trained in all aspects of gallery duties.
