Draft Landsborough precinct proposal on display
The public is encouraged to have its say on the draft Landsborough Art, Community and Heritage precinct proposal.
Caloundra City Mayor Don Aldous said the draft precinct proposal, which will be on display from 28 November to 2 January, was developed after consultation with the local community and other interested stakeholders in October.
"As a result of earlier consultation, our officers have prepared a draft proposal based upon the vision of Landsborough as the playground of the hinterland, offering a family-friendly environment for residents and visitors of all ages, and with a focus on history, heritage, nature and play," Cr Aldous said.
"Community feedback on the draft proposal is important to ensure we are meeting the needs of the community."
Divisional Councillor Dell Winkler encouraged the public to consider the proposal, which is available from Council's website at www.caloundra.qld.gov.au
and from the Customer Service Centre.
Staffed displays will be held in the Landsborough town centre as follows:
o Saturday 1 December 9am-11am, outside IGA (Mill Street)
o Wednesday 5 December 9am-11am, Maleny Street
The precinct area includes both Council and community owned and managed land to the south of Landsborough Town Centre bounded by Maleny Street, Old Landsborough Road and Mellum Creek.
