In the extraordinary wilderness of Australia and New Zealand a bunch of daredevil kids experimented with something that would change the world of adventure travel. Through 45 years of the most stunning original footage we join the original extreme sports pioneers in an epic journey of adrenaline seeking. Their global quest for adventure takes us on the road less traveled during the  60’s and 70’s to witness firsthand the discovery of amazing paradises that few ever knew of – before they tragically disappeared. Yet the very same pioneering spirit provides the answer to turning it all around.

Noosa cinemas and schools have been chosen to host the inaugural screenings of an "inspiration tour" using NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC adaptations of the award winning film "LAST PARADISE" which premiered this winter. The film was launched by Tim Winton and was so well received and important to our future that audiences have called for a special tour reaching deeper into Australian communities. Film Maker and physicist Clive Neeson will attend the event to awaken the innovative spirit and inspire young scientists through "the worlds greatest story of adventure".

SAT 8 Nov, 6.30 at Noosa 5 Cinemas

"LAST PARADISE" has been dubbed "the greatest story of adrenaline and innovation" - how a bunch of young adventurers met in the wilderness and pushed the limits of innovation to pioneer the modern concept of extreme sports and adventure travel. For physicist/film maker Clive Neeson the film has literally been a lifetime in the making and that journey has revealed major issues about our future and how we will innovate the vital solutions for survival of our civilisation. But oddly enough, its all concealed in the fun of adventure and 45 years of jaw-dropping original footage.

Among the characters are our extreme sports pioneers and surf legends who take us on the journey of a lifetime discover virgin paradise in Noosa, Gold Coast, Bali, Mexico, Europe, New Zealand and Africa during the 60's and 70's. They leave us with questions on our future and the science behind the solutions. The 45 years of golden unseen footage was restored by Peter Jackson's team who discovered it during a technical test when making "Lord of the Rings" and declared it as "the best footage we have seen". The earth was scoured to find the very first to the very best. Music legends like Cat Stevens personally came on board to provide a classic soundtrack for the feature film.

Neeson says "The film tour was launched in Perth by writer/environmentalist Tim Winton who recognised very early the power of the film for inspiring Australian communities and future generations. This was echoed by the cinema audiences themselves calling for "every Australian to see this film." The public screening at Noosa 5 Cinemas on Saturday night will be preceded by screening of the National Geographic version of LAST PARADISE at St Andrews Anglican College; Noosa Christian School; Peregian Beach College who have taken up the offers for a special on-campus educational screening. The evening will conclude with a Q&A session with physicist- come-filmmaker, Clive Neeson. Last Paradise is a big screen sensation and entertaining night out.
