Beerwah launch of eco-adventure novel
Landsborough author Noel Tuckey will launch his first novel, titled 'Thylacine Man', at the Beerwah Library this month.
Although Mr Tuckey has been a freelance writer since 1976, earning a reputation as an acclaimed motoring journalist and columnist, this is his first foray into the world of fiction writing.
The book is a blend of fact and fiction that has been described as an action packed 'eco-thriller'. It explores the presumed extinction of the Tasmanian Tiger -- the Thylacine of the title -- and weaves together political intrigue, conservationists, and a government corrupted by multi-national oil search barons.
The Library will celebrate the launch of Mr Tuckey's first novel on Friday 17 April at 10.30am. If you would like to attend the event and meet Mr Tuckey, please call the library direct on 5494 0221 to book your place.
