Author to share story of adoption, trials and happiness
Author Candy Williams will speak about her life and her book "Life through the eyes of Candy: Adoption, trials and happiness - Life is what you make it'' at Caloundra City Council's Kawana Branch Library on Monday (August 28).
The free presentation will take place from 11am to 12.30pm. To book a place, contact the library on 5444 8022.
Library hosts talk on reconnective healing
Reconnective healing will be the theme of a free presentation at Caloundra City Council's Kawana Branch Library early next month.
Practitioners Sonia Russian-Thomas and Regina Foreman will share their thoughts on how reconnective healing can improve physical, emotional and spiritual conditions. They will speak at the library from 1pm to 2.30pm on Tuesday, September 5. Contact the library on 5444 8022 to book your place.
Young talents show true colours
Eighty-four young locals jumped at the chance to enter the recent Caloundra City Libraries Curious George colouring-in competition.
The competition was held at all branches of the library and was open to children 12 years and younger. Prizes included movie passes, CDs, pencil sets and posters.
The winners were: Beerwah Library: Rachel Cran, 8, from Mooloolah and Piper Waterhouse-Dean, 5, from Landsborough.  Caloundra Library: Luke Schofield, 7, from Little Mountain.  Kawana Library:  Katherine Ware, 6, from Buddina. Maleny Library: Zomury Smith-Williams, 4, and her sister Meophy Smith Williams, 6, from Maleny; Sasha Nielsen, 5, from Flaxton and Raku Carey, 3, from Maleny. Mobile Library: Hayden Manson, 8, from Beerburrum.
