Library & Information Week 19 May 2005
To celebrate Australian Library and Information Week for three days next week the Noosa Library will be offering students aged 10 years and over the chance to learn how to use word processing for school assignments
Three interactive programmes will be held on the afternoons of Tuesday May 24th, Wednesday the 25th and Thursday the 26th starting at 3:30 sharp. The hour-long sessions are aimed at students with little or no computer experience.
Students will be able to explore and create the many features of Microsoft Word, including how to add page borders, cut and paste text and images, create forms and hyper linking, HOT keys, spelling and grammar tools and clips online.
The Library will also offer three types of sessions for adults.
• Net-wise Nannas and Plugged-in Poppas will introduce the internet to the typewriter generation.
• ABC = Absolute Beginners Computing will guide small groups of adults on basic computer operation and
• Gr8 Parents promises homework tips for helpful parents.
