“When the powerful wisdom that understands the nature of the mind arises, the dark clouds of ego disappear.” Lama Yeshe Why is it that although we all want to be peaceful and happy, we seem to spend most of our lives frustrated, angry, depressed or confused? The reason, according to Buddhism, is that we are ob-sessed with a mistaken sense of self. This self-grasping causes us to act in ways that are harmful to others, and ultimately, to our-selves as well. But it is possible to break free of the grip of ego, and develop the ability to be calm and happy regardless of what is going on around you.
To do so we need to develop real spiritual wisdom - a clear under-standing of how the world functions according to the law of kar-ma, and insight into how we exist and relate to those around us. In this workshop, Robina Courtin shows us how everything is inter-dependent and clarifies why our actions have the power to lead to happiness or unhappiness in our lives and those of others. Ven. Robina will also teach practical, effective tools to enable us discov-er the source of our problems and help us make wiser choices.
Robina's teachings are exhilarating, entertaining and thought-provoking — and accessible for everyone, regardless of back-ground. All welcome! Facility fee $99. 10% discount for FPMT members and concession card holders. Accommodation and meals available separately.
