Experience the thrill and magic of the ancient pottery process Raku in this 2-day workshop with artist Lisa Brummel.

Raku is a pottery technique that has its origins in 16th century Japan. Raku is an exciting technique to create unique decorative pottery.No previous experience in Raku is necessary and all materials are included in the workshop. 

Day One

  • Sunday 22 May
  • 10am – 3pm

Unearth raku history and technique.
Create your own unique  art-piece whilst you learn about suitable clay body construction and coil building. 

Day Two

  • Sunday 5 June
  • 10am - 3pm

Discuss glazing, technique and creative construction before firing up your raku art-piece utilizing a range of prepared glazes. 

$165 per person includes all materials and firing of your work.

Bookings and pre-payment essential. Please wear enclosed footwear and suitable clothing. BYO lunch.
