Workshops help local businesses keep their finger on the tourism pulse
Did you know that Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd (SCDL) runs regular workshops for local businesses offering tips and tools on the tourism industry?
Simon Ambrose, CEO of SCDL said the workshops are a great way for operators to keep across the latest industry developments.
“We understand that it can be difficult for businesses to stay up to date with changes in the tourism industry - particularly when it comes to online marketing and the best tools to boost bookings –that is why we’ve developed this schedule of innovative information sessions,” Mr Ambrose said.
The workshops are free for SCDL members. Non-members are also welcome to attend at a minimal cost of $30 per workshop. The next workshop will provide practical information on sorting out your social media strategy.
“Social media is fast becoming vital for the tourism industry. You may be considering getting involved in social media or you may already be involved and realise you don't really have a strategy or policy to move forward confidently. This session will equip you with a basic social media strategy for your business,” Mr Ambrose said.

• Facebook Profiles for Tourism Operators -–6 February, 9am to 4pm.
• Marketing Plans for Tourism Operators -–13 February, 9am to–10.30am.
• Digital Content Strategy -–24 March, –10am to–4.30pm.
