18 May 2006 Maroochy Council Microchipping Day
Maroochy Council will again hold its popular and successful Microchipping Day in Syd Lingard Drive, Buderim, Saturday 20 May at 9am until 1pm.
Pet owners across the Shire can have their furry family members permanently identifiable for a fraction of the regular cost.
A microchip is the size of a grain of rice and causes no discomfort or pain when inserted. Once an animal has been microchipped the details of its owner will be recorded on the nationally accredited database Central Animal Records (CAR).
Microchipping provides a much higher chance of a lost, stolen or runaway pet being returned to its rightful owner.
Microchipping will cost $20 and no bookings are required, however, it dogs must be on leads and cats must be in cages.
Please note: Microchipping does not mean it's registered with Maroochy Shire Council. Dog registration is a separate process. Please ensure your registration details are also up to date.
