The Mary Valley Country Marketing Committee along with dtb! Advertising have combined forces to expose the Mary Valley and all her hidden secrets.

The new brand and website goes live on April 30 at Kandanga Bowls Club and businesses and the community are invited to come along and share in the anticipated success of the campaign.

Local businesses have been getting on board to register their websites and activities for free with the website, with the joint vision to gain exposure through links, social networking and digital media.

The website is activity focused, detailing the extent of nature based tourism on offer in the Mary Valley. Interactive brochures have been developed highlighting the best spots and operators offering everything from introductory courses to all weekend itineraries with, for example, fishing, kayaking, camping, horse riding or bushwalking.

Mary Valley Country is also offering valley businesses the opportunity to attend three free workshops in order to keep their key activities up there with the rest of Australia and get the most out of the site by improving their skills to utilise the marketing campaign.

Questions like “Why is the digital approach so important to the region?” and “How to set up your Facebook page” will be answered at the free workshops.

Participants will find out about allowing information to be easily accessed by the digital user, and most importantly how to increase their Search Engine Optimisation.

Businesses and community are invited to attend the launch at Kandanga Bowls Club on April 30 at 6pm.

“Visitors to the Sunshine Coast need to understand the Mary Valley is not that far away. We are only 40 minutes from Noosa and offer something unique to families and daytrippers wanting to get back to nature. This website is our opportunity to change all that,” project manager Lesa Bell said.

Workshops are to be held at Mary Valley State College on May 14, 28 and June 11 from 6-8pm. For further information and inquiries phone Ms Bell on 5488 6595 or 0428 193156
