GALLERIES UNITE FOR MASQUERADE FUN -- SECURE YOUR TICKETS NOW!
It's sure to be colourful, memorable and a night of all things fantasy and fun when the art galleries of Eumundi host a MASKED GALLERY WALK to mark the gala opening of the 2010 Australian Body Art Carnivale weekend on Friday 14 May 2010 from 6pm.
Event Manager Danielle Taylor says this fabulous evening will bring together five prestigious galleries in Eumundi -- Red Desert Gallery, The Gallery Eumundi, The Art Bank, Tina Cooper Gallery, and Robin Seville Glass Design -- with the addition of the 'Art of the Body' exhibition at the School of Arts.
"After our official launch and a glass of bubbly, guests will be wowed by a special fire show from Cirque eSpace before joining the main event for the night -- the Masked Gallery Walk".
"They'll then set off on their own treasure hunt to explore the galleries, each of which will host something special for the night, including demonstrations and new exhibitions, not to mention beautiful, evocative art!"
At each gallery, guests will be wined and dined, with superb food provided by Eumundi's award-winning eateries and producers of culinary delights ... Food@Eumundi, The Fig Tree, Azzurro, Cocoa Chocolat, and Red Dog Coffee Traders.
Tickets are $45.00 and can be pre-booked from any of the galleries of Eumundi or through the Australian Body Art Carnivale website. Alternatively, phone Steve Beardsley from The Gallery Eumundi on 0400 716 526.
The ticket price also includes a beautiful mask to get you in the mood for a wonderful night -- and indeed weekend -- of fun and celebrating the arts.
"These exceptional galleries are teaming together to show art lovers, both locals and tourists, that the cultural hub of Eumundi is a destination for fine artwork," says Danielle.
Following the gala launch and Masked Gallery Walk, the weekend will see competitions and exhibitions in full body art and face painting, pavement art, wearable art, vehicle body art, photography, and visual art. There'll also be world-class street performers and musicians, workshops, a Saturday evening sunset street party, and a whole lot more.
