Memorial Prayer Service, Bushfire & Flood Appeal - ALL WELCOME

This Noosa Anglican Church Memorial Prayer Service is for all families, holiday makers from Victoria and especially those with Victorian connections. The Service will commence sharp at 12 noon.

The program will be presented from the Lions stage and is as follows:

12 noon: Raising of the Australian Flag by the Sea Scouts then the lowering of the flag to half mast, with the singing of the National Anthem.
12:10: Memorial Prayer Service commences. Fireman's prayer will be read out during the service
12:30: The large Memorial Cross in the park will then become the focal point for official floral tributes. Presentations made by local children and selected others, to remember and represent people killed in the fires, plus dedication of emergency services, community groups that assist each other especially in times of need.
12:40: Local families and children will be invited to place garden flowers at the base of the cross, for the commencement of healing and support for victims, followed by dancing by the Jubilee Ensemble.
12:45: Reflection time, candle lighting and a solo singing performance.
1pm: Local artists, singers and musicians will provide entertainment. Food will be available until 3pm.
4pm: Flag ceremony: the lowering of the Australian flag by the Sea Scouts.

From 11am, officials and identified collectors will be available for any one wishing to make donations. Authorised collectors will also be around the Noosa District until around 3pm.

This is a Noosa Community event organised by the Anglican Church of Noosa, with overwhelming support and assistance from Sunshine Coast Regional Council, Tewantin Noosa Lions, Rotary Club of Noosa, Noosaville Association, Tewantin Masonic Lodge, Noosa Coast Guards, Noosa Sea Scouts and many, many other groups and businesses who continue to donate for the day. We ask you all to contribute and help us achieve our aim of reaching $20,000. We welcome any large donations from businesses or individuals and such can be announced from the stage during the afternoon.
