Micro-chipping Mutts & Moggies
Noosa pet owners are urged to bring their pets along to be micro-chipped at a special Council-subsidised service in the Noosaville Lions Park, off Gympie Terrace, between 10 am and 2 pm on Sunday, June 26th.
Micro-chipping permanently identifies pets and helps owners to locate them if they wander or become lost. The June 26th service will be sponsored by Microchips Australia, with owners charged a discounted rate of $20 per pet, payable on the day.
Noosa Council's Manager of Public Order & Safety Ron Thomas stresses that dogs MUST be on leashes and cats and other pets MUST be in cages. (All pets from budgies to parrots, cats, dogs, mice, rats and snakes are welcome.) Mr Thomas added that the microchipping service complies with international standards.
