Workshop 2 - Work practices for enhancing effectiveness and well being.
Its nice to sit on a cushion and meditate but how can we bring that calm, relaxed and focused state of mind into our frenetic work day?.
Modern work environments mean we constantly feel pressured, distracted and information overloaded. We are always 'on' leading to stress, burnout and reduced performance. In this second of three workshops, we will focus on training in secular mindfulness techniques and mindful work practices to help you feel better at work and become more effective.
During this interactive workshop you will learn how to have a mindful meeting, how to mindfully manage your emails and how to plan and prioritize tasks to keep on track for achieving the most important outcomes each day. As well as discussion and reflection we will be practicing an easy to learn mindfulness technique throughout the day to help develop focus, relaxation and clarity amidst the storm of daily work and life pressures.
Key takeaways from the workshop are: Simple daily mindfulness techniques, Techniques for bringing mindfulness into everyday work tasks, Strategies for managing your energy at work, Tips for reducing unproductive multi-tasking. This workshop is part two of a three-part Mindfulness at Work program.
Each session is available individually. However, for maximum benefit, it is recommended that all three sessions are attended. Those who attend all three sessions will receive a free mindfulness CD.
