National Talent Identification and Development - Diving

AIS Talent Search - Diving

An opportunity has arisen for Diving Australia (DA) to work with Quad Park and ASC National Talent Identification and Development Program to establish a Talent Identification Program on the Sunshine Coast at Quad Park. The aim of the program is to identify and fast track junior elite athletes for Queensland and National squads and teams.

A search for athletes who have the potential to become world class divers will be conducted. We are looking for young people between the ages of 10 - 15 years who have the ability to be fast tracked for the TID Program by testing for the skills that show they are suitable for the sport such as short stature, coordination, strength and power. A background in gymnastics, trampolining or aerobatics would be valuable.

No diving experience is necessary.

Quad Park is working with a number of sports to establish programs for junior elite athletes providing the environment for them to remain on the Sunshine Coast.

Chantelle Newbery, Diving Australia's National Talent Identification Coordinator will work with Barbi Donnet Carver, coach of the Quad Park TID squad and Jin Lan, National TID Coach to implement and oversee the program.
