NYW 2006 is set to be bigger and better than ever.

All you have to do to make it a success… Just Add You!!

NYW is a joint Australian Government, State, Territory and Local Government initiative.

The Australian Government Department of Family and Community Services (FaCS), in collaboration with the Departments responsible for youth affairs in each State and Territory, coordinate NYW.

What's happening during NYW?

There will be lots of things happening during NYW.

In 2005, there were more than 1,400 live events and activities across Australia. Planning for NYW 2006 is well underway.

You can get involved in NYW 2006 by organising an event, such as:

    * sporting activities
    * dance parties
    * community projects
    * conferences
    * debates
    * exhibitions
    * festivals
    * forums
    * live performances

If organising an event isn't your thing, there are still plenty of ways to get involved. You can attend an event in your area, have your say in an online poll, or enter a competition.

You can showcase your talents through the National Talent Competitions or go in the running to Win Free Stuff.

Keep posted for more info on Win Free Stuff and the National Talent Competitions - RockIT, WriteIT, ShootIT, DesignIT and SnapIT.

National Youth Week 2006 is set to be bigger and better than ever before, with thousands of events taking place across the country.  Stay tuned to find out what's happening in your backyard. The national calendar of events will be up and running in February 2006.
