HUNDREDS of Noosa businesspeople are registering on line to attend the first of a series of major networking events, to be held on the evening of Wednesday, November 17th at the Noosa Harbour Marine Village in Tewantin.

Get Connected : Network Noosa Shire will be opened by Mayor Bob Abbot at Harbour Master Restaurant; guests will include Member for Fairfax Alex Somlyay and Member for Noosa Cate Molloy and the guest speaker will be dynamic entrepreneur David Poulton of locally based and internationally acclaimed Promotions in Motion.

Business & Corporate Services Committee Chair Lew Brennan reports one highlight of the night will be the launch of a new reference kit, devised by Council's Economic Strategies & Innovation Manager Fiona Wilson. "The kit contains a number of Fact Sheets, maps, reports and community information which will be updated quarterly," explained Cr Brennan.

The event will commence at 5.30 pm, with a $2 admission fee, complimentary refreshments, finger food and lucky door prizes, and guests urged to bring along a good supply of business cards. Participants can register on the Economic Development section of Council's website at or by calling 5449 5138. The event is being jointly organised and sponsored by the Sunshine Coast Area Consultative Committee - Small Business Answers Office and Noosa Council and has been developed in direct response to a clear message from local business people that more networking would assist them.
