Well, lots happening at the moment it is difficult to know where to begin but here goes!
Our Next Meeting
I have arranged for our next meeting to be held at Brooloo Hall on Thursday 20th July at 6PM.
The Mary Valley Map
All the advertising has been sold on the map and in fact I have people waiting to go on the next edition. The map so far will be ready for final approval and comments for our meeting on Thursday. (still chasing a few ads!) Please come and give me your input. I am hoping to launch the map when The Rattler launch their new services in early Aug.
Our Economic Future
I have spoken to Tim Williamson (4121 1721)and Lynne Wilbraham (5437 1321) from State Development, who are very keen to talk to local businesses. From their first round of fact finding in the valley, Tim has promised me to have feed back ready for our meeting on Thursday. Also with the creation of The Community Futures Taskforce, we have the attention of the government at a level that we could not have hoped for a couple of months ago. And, if we are going to have a dam, lets make it the best we possibly can. We must make sure the The Mary Valley can both shape and take advantage of the opportunities that it will create. So How do we make the most of the processes that are starting? Lets talk on Thursday.
B&Bs and The Sunshine Coast Hinterland
Sam at Lake Weyba Cottages has started to bring together the Sunshine Coast B&Bs and the details of her next meeting are attached. This is an interesting and motivated group who want to bring together the Hinterland story of which The Mary Valley is, of course an important part. If you would like to come to the meeting do let her know. 'meeting details'
I hope you can be there on Thursday
