THE 16TH NOOSA BEACH CLASSIC CAR SHOW, SUNDAY 3RD OCTOBER, AT THE NOOSA HEADS LIONS PARK, OPPOSITE THE SHERATON HOTEL, NOOSA HEADS. GATES OPEN FOR EXHIBITORS 6.00AM. SPECTATORS 9.00AM.
The show is run by the Noosa Beach Classic Car Club, which has around 280 members who between them, have 80 different types of cars, from a 1924 Bentley, to the latest Porsche, Jaguar and Mercedes.
Each year, a particular Marque of car is Honoured, with this year being Porsche. Some very special examples of the Marque which will be on display are: a 904 Le Mans Race car, an RSK Spyder from the 1950s, two RSRs from the 1970s,a 356 Carrera 2 cam Speedster, many 356s from the 356 Club and all the newer models we have to today.
Also on display, will be a 1939 Auto Union Wanderer, Which came to Australia as a container of bits, to be a world-class restoration by owner Nobby Reason here in Noosa. The engine and supercharger in this car were designed by Ferdinand Porsche, way before the first Porsche car was designed and built!
A genuine 1964 Ford GT 40, which was built by Ford to stop the dominance of Ferrari at Le Mans, will also be there, alongside the Peter Brock 71/2 litre 24 hour winning Monaro, as well as one of the most famous Rally cars ever built, in the Ford RS 200, with its 2 Litre 650 HP engine, which has taken it to the Guinness Book of Records, for its amazing acceleration, 0-100 in a blistering 3.2 seconds. These same cars will also be performing at the Noosa Hill Climb on the 13th and 14th November.
Many other makes of fabulous cars will be on display from the early classic to modern day.

Gates open to Exhibitors from 6.00 to 9.00am and spectators from 9.00 am.
Everyone attending can have a free entry into the 'Lucky Door' prize being a Balmain Swiss watch valued at $1,600.00 donated by Anthonys Fine Jewellery, Noosa.
A show band and a roving Jazz band will entertain throughout the day.
Proceeds from the event are donated to local charities and worthy causes.
