Noosa Chamber adds its weight to Sunshine Coast Alliance
The newly revitalised Noosa Chamber of Commerce & Industry has joined forces with all the Chambers on the Sunshine Coast, signing a formal agreement with the new Sunshine Coast Chamber Alliance.
Noosa Chamber President Carl Beck says the new coast and hinterland Alliance of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry now has an even greater voice for local businesses in what is one of the most challenging environments for the business community.
“We will all work together to help local businesses reach their maximum potential,” Mr Beck said today. “This Alliance indicates Noosa’s commitment to the entire Sunshine Coast and will continue when (rather than if) Noosa de-amalgamates from the Sunshine Coast Council,” Mr Beck said.
“Historically, Noosa has led the way on town planning and cost reductions and will continue to contribute these leading-edge strategies to the whole coast.
“Each Chamber will remain independent, but this Alliance will be a force communicating with the Sunshine Coast Council, as well as the State and Federal Governments.
“United we can call for cutbacks on red tape, ensure local businesses have a greater chance to win Council and other Government tenders, and encourage the Council to play an even greater role in promoting local business.”
Carl Beck invites all Noosa businesses to join the revitalised Chamber so it can more effectively represent local business views and concerns, and so you can network and share business leads.
The Noosa Chamber of Commerce and Industry meets every second Monday at the Tewantin R.S.L. Club at 6.00 pm. The next meeting is on Monday 25 July.
