Ford Performance Racing V8 Supercar driver, Mark Winterbottom, will be joining in the festivities at the Noosa Country Show next Friday (September 7).
Winterbottom, who drives the #5 Orrcon FPR Falcon in the V8 Supercar Championship Series, finished third in last year's series and is the defending Sandown 500 champion.
The 26-year-old will be a guest at the show of local business Budget Steel, which is a stockist of Orrcon product. Budget Steel has been a long-time supplier to the steel industry throughout the Noosa region and is delighted to have Winterbottom be a part of this year's Noosa Country Show.
During the festivities at the Pomona Showgrounds Winterbottom will happily sign posters and speak to patrons throughout the day.
"Being able to meet people from a variety of regions is a very enjoyable part of my job being a V8 Supercar driver and next week at Noosa will be no exception, I look forward to seeing everyone in the region coming out to support the show," said Winterbottom.
"So far this year I think I've visited every capital city and many regional areas either while racing in the championship or attending events such as the one coming up at Noosa."
Winterbottom is currently seventh in the championship standings after nine rounds in the 14-round series and will make his 50th round start at the Just Cars Insurance Sandown 500 in Melbourne next month. He won the corresponding round while driving alongside Jason Bright last year and will be shooting for back-to-back wins in 2007.
"The Sandown 500 is the first endurance race of the year and over the past few rounds we have certainly shown that we have got a lot of pace with a pair of top five results, I'm confident we will be able to translate this speed into an outright result at Sandown," said Winterbottom.
Winterbottom will be appearing at the Budget Steel stand at the show from 1pm until 5pm on Friday September 7.

I would like to thank the many local business who have again got behind the show supporting the Noosa Show Society.  We thank Zinc 96 getting behind such a great event and advertising us,  catch them at the show with a live onsite broadcast on Friday 7th Sept.
