Noosa, Design For Place

An exhibition developed and presented by the Noosa Integrated Catchment Association (NICA).

A selection of works created by six local artists; Susan Schmidt, Moto Niwa, Michele Knightley, Lenni Semmelink, Fiona Cocks and Warren Slater, inspired by local fauna and flora of the six different catchment ecosystems.

This exhibition is designed to move the Sunshine Coast community away from using generic imagery such as exotic frangipani, exotic hibiscus and palms to understanding and expressing our unique importance of place - only when we understand this, will we be truly sustainable.

The Regional Arts Development Fund is a Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and Sunshine Coast Council partnership to support local arts and culture.
