A symphonic spectacle not to be missed!
100 orchestral musicians, 110 choral voices and 2 soaring operatic soloists join forces to present the symphonic spectacle of the Noosa Long Weekend Festival Orchestra.
Brisbane Symphony Orchestra will celebrate 25 years of acclaimed music making by collaborating with our own accomplished Noosa Orchestra and Brisbane Chorale to present the commanding 5th movement from Gustav Mahler’s ‘Resurrection’ Symphony under the baton of celebrated conductor, Antoni Bonetti.
Featuring international soloist’s mezzo soprano Georgia Hawes, and soprano Melinda Janetski, the program will leap across the centuries to present the masterpieces of orchestral repertoire, including Spohr’s unique Symphony for 2 Orchestras, Berlioz’s Le Corsaire Overture, Mussorgsky’s Dawn on the ‘Noosa’ River and the popular finale from Beethoven’s 5th Symphony.
