NPA Friday Environment Forum 20th June

Can Coconut Save Noosa's Shoreline?

Coconut fibre logs are just one aspect of NPA's  Friday Environment Forum presentation by NICA's Project Officer, Tara Kingsbury, this week, June 20th at 11.15am.   Tara is currently involved with mangrove replanting and shoreline restoration program at St John's Landing

Tara first began working with Noosa Integrated Catchment Association in 2006, initially as a volunteer, helping to set up the Noosa River Seagrass Watch mapping and monitoring program.  Tara explains the vital role of seagrass meadows, relating to the biodiversity of marine species that they sustain and as a bio-indicator of river health.

Come to hear more - you are welcome to join the group at 11.15 am for Tara's talk, or to come at 10.30am for the Friday Forum discussions, as well as the interpretive birding session from 8.30am.  For more details call 5474 2486

Why not get out into the environment with NPA Cooloola Bushwalkers this Sunday, June 22nd?  Meet at the EC at 7.30am.
