Calling all Mutts and Moggies
Noosa pet owners are urged to bring their pets along to be micro-chipped at a special Council-subsidised service in the Noosaville Lions Park, off Gympie Terrace, between 10 am and 2 pm on Sunday, June 3rd.
Public Order and Safety Manager Ron Thomas says that micro-chipping permanently identifies pets and helps owners to locate them if they wander or become lost. "The June 3rd service will be sponsored by Microchips Australia," said Mr Thomas and owners will be charged a discounted rate of $20 per pet, payable on the day.
"All pets from budgies to parrots, cats, dogs, mice, rats and even snakes are welcome, however dogs MUST be on leashes and cats and other pets MUST be in cages. And owners are assured that the microchipping service complies with international standards. "
