Put on your dancing shoes!

It is the last chance this year for locals to get out their dancing shoes and enjoy the sounds of the award-winning Sunshine Coast Concert Band who will be performing their last dance for 2009 on Saturday, October 10, from 7:30pm at Kawana Community Hall.

Music Director, Ken Chadwick along with singers Bev Gourlay, Aart Schouten and Alan "Mr. Sinatra" Winter promise to put on a great night of music and dancing with songs ranging from the classic sounds of Glenn Miller to modern hits.

"We would love to see as many people down here as possible to make this the best dance of the year. The community has been great in supporting our dances over the years and we would love to reward them with a fantastic night of entertainment and dancing," Music Director, Ken Chadwick said.

The Sunshine Coast Concert Band has been raising money for local charities for over ten years now, with all proceeds from each dance going towards various charities across the region.

For those who enjoy good old favourites from the foxtrot to modern waltz and barn dance as well as good old rock and roll, this is an event not to be missed.

The doors open at 6:30pm with the dancing kicking off at 7:30pm at the Kawana Community Hall which is located in Nanyima Street, Buddina, off Point Cartwright Drive.

Tickets are available for purchase on the evening at the door for $15 which includes tea and coffee. For more information or to reserve your ticket please contact Bev on 5444 8675.
