Paintings by Max Sell
Access Gallery December 6 to December 17
Opening 2pm Saturday December 6, 2003
Feeling robust and not fragilis, Max Sell explored the wallum.
Patersonia flowers calling to each other came out for the day before unblooming. Moses of the prickly acacia family saw the promised land across the dam, while the Hakea in their dying breath opened up, talking and chattering as they spat out their future offspring. The Banksia robur crossed paths in their search for enlightenment and the melaleuca barked out.......
Who said the swamp was boring?
Max Sell has lived at Clarendon Road for twelve years and his abstractions attempt to convey the changing moods and times of the wallum. They allow for personal interpretations by the viewer .
