RSPCA Qld’s mobile de-sexing unit coming to Gympie!

RSPCA Qld’s Mobile De-sexing Unit PAWS (Portable Animal Welfare Service) will visit Gympie at the end of the month. PAWS will be at Nelson’s Reserve from the 25th to 29th July.

This visit will be restricted to cats of Concession card owners only and the cost will be an all inclusive $40 for de-sexing, micro-chipping and Council registration.

“We’re obviously delighted to be involved,” said RSPCA Qld’s Gympie Shelter manager Rebecca Brazier. “De-sexing of companion animals is has been an ongoing campaign for us and the fact that the Council is being pro active is very encouraging.”

With business expected to be brisk, RSPCA Qld’s Senior Veterinarian Dr Anne Chester is urging people to book early by calling Gympie RSPCA on 5482 9407.

“We don’t want to waste a moment,” she said. “It’s important we de-sex as many cats as we can during the week, so please call to avoid inconvenience and disappointment.”
