The popular Pleasant Sunday Afternoon concerts re-commence on Sunday May 4th 2008, starting at 2pm in the CCSA Hall, Nutley St., Caloundra.
The organising trio of singers Bev Gourlay and Aart Schouten and pianist Neil Booth, will perform popular songs (and a skit) to set the mood of joviality and good music.
Our guest artist (driving up from Toowoomba for the event) will be Richard Chiverrell, who recently won many prizes for comedy performances in the Easter QLD Eisteddfod. Tenor Graeme Ensoll and Sopranos Tess Rushton and Denise Hanrahan will sing solos and duets, and the versatile John Major will recount some Bush Poems and stories.
Of special interest is Annabelle Swainston and her accompanist Naomi Craddock. Annabelle, at the tender age of 12 years, is studying for her A.Mus.A degree, and has just won the Open (all ages) violin Championship at the QLD Eisteddfod!!
General Admission at the door is $9, or $5 for Friends of the Chorale, and this includes afternoon tea.
So, come along to the CCSA hall on Sunday May 4th prepared to enjoy an afternoon of good music and comedy.
Any queries, ring Bev Gourlay on 5444 8675.
