A Showcase of Talent in August!
The next Pleasant Sunday Afternoon concert on August 3rd will, as usual, feature extremely talented artists who will produce an exceptional afternoon's entertainment for the low cost of only $9 – and this includes afternoon tea!
There's no need to book, just pay at the CCSA Hall door, Nutley St Caloundra, ready for a 2pm start.
This month's artists are firstly, the Deputy Conductor of the Caloundra Chorale, namely Kelsey Brookes, who is a conservatorium-trained Baritone.
Other Singers are, Yvonne Everard, Bev Gourlay, Aart Schouten and young Rebel Lyons.
Janet Dyke will recite some Bush poetry, while Maria Lindsay will again amaze and amuse the audience with a comedy act.
14 yr. old Sophia La Selva will perform again on the grand piano – she has won many awards in Sunshine coast Eisteddfodau in last 4 years and has just finished the AMEB grade 7 exam with High distinction in May. And completing the variety offered in this concert, will be Christina Hanley playing her piano accordion.
Other artists are still to be confirmed.
Bev will finish the concert with her usual "Guess what song this is", in which she sings the verses of very well known old tunes, - which are usually a complete surprise to the audience. Then everyone joins in for a final Singalong.
These afternoons are always a lot of fun and show-case some of the best Coast performers.
It's wonderful entertainment for only $9, or $5 for Friends and Members of the Chorale, payable at the door.
So, it's on Sunday August 3rd, starting at 2 pm and finishing around 4.30 pm, at the CCSA Hall, Nutley St., Caloundra.
