We have our best ever event planned for the pop-up cinema which is running again this year at our favourite venue Moffat Beach Brewing Co. at Moffat Beach on September 8th from 7-9pm.

We are thrilled to be screening Shorebreak: The Clark Little Story. Clark Little is a photographer who defines his own work as “shorebreak photography” and takes beautiful and sometimes extreme photographs and footage of the ocean’s power.

This movie documents professional photographer Clark Little – from botanical garden manager 9 years ago to becoming a world famous photographer for capturing the beauty of the Hawaii’s powerful shorebreak waves from inside impact zone.

The film features heart pounding up-close action in the North Shore waves, insight into how the shots are captured, shark diving without cages, and of course, how the unexpected story of becoming a photographer unfolded.

Various shorebreak surfers and bodyboarders make appearances. Includes stories told by Jack Johnson, Kelly Slater and Clark’s older brother, big wave surfer Brock Little.

Whether you are a surfer, a photographer or simply love great art this movie has something for you.

No surprises then it was winner of the Audience Award at the 2016 Maui Film Festival.

We will also be screening a selection of great surfing shorts such as Beauty & Chaos to get you in the mood for the main event.
