Free skin damage scans postponed at local libraries

Sunshine Coast Council libraries and Queensland University of Technology's AusSun Research Laboratory have unfortunately had to postpone planned sun damage scans at various library locations across the region due to unforeseen circumstances.
Manager of Council's Learning Communities Branch, Ross Duncan, said it was a shame the remaining sessions had to be re-scheduled.
"The session held recently at the Maroochydore library proved to be very popular with residents," he said.
"Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the remainder of the planned sessions at this stage due to circumstances beyond our control."
"Our partner, QUT, has been very supportive in helping us get this program off the ground, and we appreciate their efforts in helping the Sunshine Coast community. We will continue to work closely with QUT to deliver more of these popular programs in the future."
Mr Duncan said visits to the Nambour, Cooroy, Noosa, Beerwah, Kawana and Coolum libraries had been postponed until later in the year.
"As we arrange future sessions, information will be placed in the media and libraries so that residents are aware," said Mr Duncan.
