BDO would like to invite you to join us at our forthcoming 'Practical Strategies for Growth post GFC' event. Expert panellists will discuss challenges faced by businesses and provide insight.

Many economists, commentators and strategic planners would rather forget the last year when reflecting on projections made early in 2009. Although many of the economic conditions the world has encountered were extraordinary, business managers and owners in the public and private sectors are now asking:

* Have some companies gone downhill by not adapting and evolving their strategic plan as the global business environment changes?
* Have forecasting techniques passed their use by dates?
* Did organisations think that by following a strategy, they would survive the GFC?
* Does the business strategy consider all relevant intelligence?
* What alternate approaches are worth examining?
* What has Queensland learnt post GFC?

At this discussion forum, business leaders, academics and other experts will look at the relevance and success of strategic planning, lessons learnt, what's worked and what hasn't, and alternative approaches for growth.

This event is part of BDO's commitment to its clients on the Sunshine Coast and a contribution to it's growing business community.
