Performance @ The Playhouse

7th September 8.00 pm
President Wilson in Paris
starring Henry Szeps, Deborah Kennedy and Henry Nixon

Penned by Australian playwright Ron Blair, President Wilson in Paris revolves around President Woodrow Wilson and his second wife Edith, in Paris in 1919 for the Peace Conference at which the eminent statesman introduces his idea for the League of Nations. However, not all is as it appears.

The play jumps between Paris and Sydney and between past and present. It is full of twists and turns, keeping the audience entertained, amused and on the edge of their seats as they are never allowed to feel they know where the story is headed.

Ron Blair was inspired to write President Wilson in Paris whilst reading a book about Alfred Hitchcock. Hitchcock liked to deliberately lead the audience down one path, only to then change direction and take them somewhere totally unexpected.
