Who wants to suffer, either physically or mentally??
NOT ME!!!!!
I think it would be true to say we all want to learn how to live in a way that will bring us happiness, not suffering and dissatisfaction...... BUT HOW?
According to Buddhist Philosophy it is karma, good and bad, that creates our happiness or suffering respectively.
In order to do something about it, we first need to understand how we create karma and how it affects our lives. Secondly, we need to know if we can get rid of, or "purify", that negative karma we have already accumulated?
Join Geshe Jamyang as he explains this fascinating topic and gives real and practical insight into this age old dilemma. Find out some of the different methods or techniques that Buddhists use to help create a better life now, and in the future.
Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th December 2007
Fee:  $99
About the facilitator:
Geshe Lobsang Jamyang was born in 1966 in Tibet and was ordained as a monk at the age of 16. Geshe Jamyang attained the highest degree in Buddhist philosophy, Geshe Lharampa, after 22 years study in Tibet and India. He then spent an additional year in Gyume Tantric monastery in which he mastered practice and rituals of the tantric tradition and once again was ranked top of his class.
He then taught in India until 2005, when, Geshe Jamyang accepted the invitation of our senior Tibetan teacher, Geshe Tashi Tsering, to teach at Chenrezig Institute.  He currently teaches a weekly public talk programme, and is an assistant teacher in the advanced Buddhist Studies Programme
