10.45 am - 12.30 pm: Deciphering old handwriting skills workshop
This workshop teaches tips and tricks on how to read old handwriting with examples of old handwritten text from records in Queensland State Archives' collection. Learn how to read archival documents and enhance your research skills. This is a good workshop for anyone interesting in transcribing and indexing old records.
1 pm - 2 pm: Getting started with research
Learn about Queensland State Archives' collection and how best to find the information you are seeking. This seminar will provide you with the basics you need to get started on your research at Queensland State Archives.
2.30 pm - 3.30 pm: Working for Queensland: Professions, trades and jobs
This seminar explores the many types of employment recorded in Queensland State Archives' collection including photographs, exams papers, trade certificates and barristers' rolls. Learn tips and tricks on how to locate records about professions, trades and jobs in Queensland.
