Arts funding provides creative solutions
This year's funding round for local artists and community groups involved in the arts closes on 15 March, according to the Sunshine Coast Regional Council.
The money is provided under council's Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Grants Program.
This is separate from the Community Partnership Funding Program, which provides community groups with longer-term financial assistance for operational activities, and the more project-specific Grants Program for community groups and individuals.
Council's RADF program provides financial support to local residents and community for a wide variety of arts and cultural projects. Grants can cover up to 70 per cent of a project's total costs.
Council is running free RADF information sessions in the week of 15 to 19 February at Nambour, Maroochydore, Cooroy and Maleny. The sessions will include tips on how to prepare a good application.
In addition, RADF application writing clinics will be held at Nambour, Noosa, Caloundra and Coolum from 2 March. Potential applicants can also give themselves the best chance of success by making a booking to meet with council's RADF Liaison Officer to work through their application.
For more information visit council's website www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au under the 'For Residents' or call 5475 7272 to speak to the RADF Liaison officer.
