Noosa residents have the opportunity to be thoroughly briefed on two important issues relating to the iconic Noosa River at a free information session to be held by the Noosa Council at the Villa Noosa Hotel on Monday, March 1st.
Interested members of the public will be given an overview of the findings of the Noosa River Boat Wash Study by one of its authors Greg Cox, from the Excellence in Maritime Training Consultancy and Research Group.
The Boat Wash Study was undertaken by the Group which is based at the Australian Maritime College - Ship Hydrodynamics Centre in Hobart. The Study was undertaken on behalf of the Healthy Waterways Partnership for South East Queensland and was project-managed by Queensland Transport.
The information session will also include an overview by Council staff of the draft Noosa River Plan which is currently on display for public consultation purposes.
The session will be held between 6.30 and 9.00 pm in the Function Room of the Villa Noosa Hotel in Mary Street, Noosaville.
