Relive the great sounds of the 50’s to 70’s with a six piece nostalgia band, The Rockin’ Bodgies. With saxophone, keyboard and harmony voices the band provides the authentic rock and roll sound originally performed by great stars such as Chuck Berry, Bill Haley and the Comets, Dion, Neal Sedaka, Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin and Gene Vincent.
Apart from the great music and sounds this band produce they are also consummate performers adding a fun vibe to their gigs. Their illustrious careers are matched by their quirky sense of humour to produce a sound that takes you back to days gone by.
Mike Page on vocals was introduced to music at the age of ten with the Victorian Banjo Club. When he found out that banjos had strings on and needed co-ordination he quickly gave that away and took up singing! He brings a fine voice and a great sense of humour to the band.
Keiron McLachlan on bass guitar started playing guitar with The In-Crowd in the mid to late 60's appearing regularly on "Everybody In" on Channel 9. He has supported and toured with artists such as John Farnham, Rick Springfield, Russell Morris, Mondo Rock and many more and brings solid bass playing and a great voice into the band.
Allan Stainer on saxophone always loved the sound of the saxophone in bands and as a born entertainer has become a great front line man in the band with his sense of humour keeping audiences highly amused.
Pete “Machine Gun” Dickson on guitar is from the land of the long white cloud and has played with a long list of musical giants such as Mother Goose, Marc Hunter and Brian Mannix. He was nearly arrested at Twin Towns, during his first gig with the band for exceeding the speed limit of 400 notes per minute on-stage. Fortunately Steve, the sound engineer had a fire extinguisher nearby to put out the flames coming from his fingertips!
His virtuosity on the guitar is a huge asset to the band even if his guitar does point in the wrong direction.
Sam Catorina on drums has had thirty plus years drumming experience playing with a huge variety of musicians in and around the the Brisbane scene, playing in all styles from Latin, to Baja Back-beat and now Rock'n'Roll. They call him "The Metronome" because of his precise drumming technique!
Shaun Carling on Guitar has played in a variety of bands over the years playing support gigs for music icons such as David Bowie, Thin Lizzie, Jethro Tull, Frank Ifield, Leo Sayer and Aussie stars Denise Drysdale, Freddy Star and Little Patti.
